Weight Loss Tips

In the last weight loss tips article I gave a list of the possible foods that you might eat in a day ( below. ) I added carb foods fat foods, fruits, and some green vegetables, along with some snacks.
The purpose of this list is to give you some insight on how; If these foods were eaten based on a certain formula, then you could cause the foods to metabolize real well.
If done wrong, then the list of foods below could cause you to gain weight. ( Higher fat foods were added to help as an example only. )
2 bowls Bran Flakes
2 cups Whole milk
2 cups Non-fat milk
3 slices of good whole wheat bread
1 Orange
1/2 lb of Grapes
1/4 lb of almonds
1 Head of Lettuce
Serving of broccoli
1/4 lb of Carrots
I large bowl of pasta
1 oz of cheese
1 lb of chicken breast
1/8 cube of butter
What is important, do not mix high carb foods with fat foods at any given sitting. Also, add a neutral food to these meals. ( Green vegetables . ) This will spark your metabolism.
With that said, the above foods should be scheduled as to when to eat them. I go a step further and do not allow myself carbs past noon or lunch. The only exception to that is in eating a carb snack of a fruit or vegetable in the afternoon.( 2-3pm )
Lets just say that you are one who wakes up at 6am. Here is how the above list could work well.
Breakfast- 2 bowls of bran flakes with nonfat milk - 1 or 2 slices of toast w/jelly ( no butter. ) - 1 orange. ( note: Carbs are good for you. Non carb diets are not.. ) This is a high carb breakfast with very limited fat. This breakfast will metabolize well. ( You don`t have to eat all that I said, This is just an example.. )
Snack: ( 10-11am . ) 1/2lb of grapes.
Lunch: ( 12- 12:30. ) In this meal you will want to finish up with the carbs on the list. ( once again no fats. ) DONT MIX CARBS AND FATS. I repeat that because that is the main rule to follow. Also: Eat your neutral food with it ( green vegetables. ) This will boost your metabolism. Here`s your lunch...
Eat your pasta bowl ( Make sure that the sauce that you use does not have fat. Read the labels.. ) The broccoli and carrots will do good at this time. Then You can eat whatever toast that you still have. NO BUTTER ( Toast is much better for weight loss than bread.. )
Afternoon snack: Eat the almonds. - Getting off of this food list for a moment I will say that eating some fruit at this time can work well. Many people say that an afternoon snack of a grapefruit or an orange will hold them over real good at this point. Vegetables tend to leave you feeling hungry where as fruit can actually fill you up. One really filling fruit for the summer time is watermelon. Find what works and go with it.
Dinner Time!: Dinner is your fat meal w/ the neutral food ( Green Vegetables. ). note: This could be a carb meal but, a fat meal will give better results. The golden rule to all of this is DONT MIX CARBS WITH FAT. Also: EAT A NEUTRAL FOOD WITH IT. ( Green Vegetables. ) The neutral food with it builds up your metabolism. Here is your Dinner...
Eat your chicken. Have a salad. NO CARBS with the salad. A little tomato is OK. Lemon juice makes a surprisingly good dressing. Put cheese on it. No Bread with your fat meal. The butter is to be applied at this meal. Drink your whole milk with this.
Let`s review all of this with some final thoughts.
First of all.. Don`t follow this list of foods. It`s not intended to be a diet to practice. It`s just an example that I used to hammer down the main points. I used some heavy fat foods in this example. Any diet that you go on, you will usually want to reduce your fat intake. So cut down on the fats that you have in your food.
In the example that I gave, you ate 2 carb meals. It could have been 2 fat meals instead. Don`t eat 3 of any kind in a day. Your metabolism needs variety.
1. Dont mix fats with carbs.. That is where most people screw things up. Your body doesn`t process this food combination well.--
2. Add a neutral food.. This fires up your metabolism because it gives a variety of foods and it can process this well. Green vegetables are the best example.
3. Carbs are the best in the morning.. It will provide you energy. I frown on carb meals at night. But if you keep the fat out of there and eat your green veggies with it, you will be doing better.
4. Lower the fat in the fat meals. . This will be crucial for good results.
5. Add exercise to any diet program.. It`s good for life and for health. And weight loss too!
6. Be careful with what you drink at each sitting.. The wrong drink could mess up the whole deal.
I in no way claim that this weight loss strategy is an easy one. It can require that you be really creative with your meals. You also need to know what`s in the foods that you eat as well.
It is a solid proven strategy though. And a very old one. This is not new. I first found out about this in a book and it proved to work well. Then after that, I found that many cultures actually practice this strategy of diet. It makes good sense. It is a diet formula that your body processes real well. It promotes good energy.
